This water adventure includes going into some of the most attractive surroundings that the Caribbean Sea and the jungle of the Yucatan Peninsula have to offer.
We start this magical adventure snorkeling at the Mesoamerican Coral Reef, the second largest reef in the world. Wherever you look, a wide variety of marine life and thousands of species of brilliantly colored fish swim around you with grace and elegance.
The brain and fire coral, sea fan, giant anemone, queen conch, flamingo tongue, the angelfish, damselfish, parrotfish, cowfish, trunkfish, trumpetfish, stingrays, green and hawksbill turtle are just a few of the thousands of species living in this Caribbean paradise.
We will enjoy our ocean snorkeling around one of the most protected and isolated areas in the Rivera Maya. The reef system is located a few meters from the edge of the beach so we don’t need a boat to help us access the natural landscape. This also helps conserve the reef.
After this amazing experience, we will discover another incredible ecosystem in the mystical Maya underground rivers, the cenotes. Covered with water they give us entry to a magical world where we can see the delicate rock formations that are the result of the deposit of minerals hauled through the porous stones: stalactites and stalagmites.
